Glittername with Image

You will need:-
PSP 9
Animation Shop
 A picture tube

To use the picture tube shown above click here and save it to a folder on your pc

Firstly follow the tutorial on how to make a Glitter Name and follow it all the way down to where you see these
****     ****

~~
Ready to continue......
You might need to use a larger canvas than the one you are using for your glittername
depending on where you want to place your picture tube. I'm going to sit mine on top on the letters
so need to have a bit more canvas height. To make the canvas larger just go to 'Image' 'Canvas Size' and alter the height

You now have all  layers 'UnX' ed
Right click on the bottom of your 3 layers in the 'Layer' palette and rename it 'Glit1'
Right click the 2nd layer and rename it 'Glit2'
Right click the 3rd layer and rename it 'Glit3'

Go to 'Layers' and open a 'New Raster Layer' and in the 'Layer' palette drag the new layer to the bottom of your palette, right click and rename it 'Background'

Choose a colour for the background in the 'Materials' palette 'Foreground and Stroke Properties' box.....
Ive chosen white for this tutorial though a dark colour shows the glitter up really well

Using the 'Floodfill Tool'  click on your image to floodfill with the colour.

Right click the 'Background' layer in your palette and choose 'Duplicate'...right click that and choose 'Duplicate' again.
Arrange your layers so that there is a 'Background' layer to go with each of the glitter layers.

Go to 'Layers' and open a 'New Raster Layer' and position it at the top of your palette, right click it and rename it 'Picture'

Click on the 'Tube Tool'  and on the image which appears in the preview window to open the menu. Click on the picture you want to use.

Click on your image to place the tube and use the 'Mover Tool'  to drag it into position.
You might have to reduce the scale of the tube.

You can use 'Edit' 'Undo Picture Tube' if you've tried the tube and its too big...this will undo it and you can try again.
Resizing an image makes it a little blurry so go to 'Adjust' 'Sharpness' 'Sharpen'

Once you are happy with the positioning of your tube, in the 'Layer' palette, right click on the 'Picture' layer and select 'Duplicate'...right click on that and select 'Duplicate' again.
Still in the 'Layer' palette drag your 'Picture' layers so that you have one for each glit and background layer

'X' out all the layers except the bottom three...and click on 'Background' to highlight it.

Go to 'Layers' 'Merge' 'Merge Visible'

'X' out that 'Merged' layer and 'UnX' the next three, clicking on 'Copy of Background' layer to highlight.

Go to 'Layers' 'Merge' 'Merge Visible'

'X' out that 'Merged' layer too and 'UnX' the remaining three, clicking on 'Copy(2) of Background' layer to highlight

'Layers' 'Merge' 'Merge Visible'

'UnX' all the layers.

Use the 'Crop Tool'   to draw round your image if you want to crop it....then click on the tick to finalise the crop.

Go to 'File' 'Jasc Software Products' 'Launch Amination Shop'

Go back to PSP and click on the bottom 'Merged'  layer to highlight and go to 'Edit' 'Copy'....over in AS click on 'Edit' 'Paste' 'Paste as New Animation'
Back to PSP and click on the 2nd 'Merged' layer,'Edit' 'Copy'...over to AS and 'Edit 'Paste' and this time 'After Current Frame'
Back to PSP and 'Edit' 'Copy' the last layer...back to AS and 'Edit' 'Paste' 'After Current Frame'
Click on the 'View Animation'   icon to see your image, click on it again to close.
Go to 'File' 'Save as' a 'CompuServe Graphics Interchange *(.gif)
Ok it through the optimisation.
