A Glitter tube.You
can find glitter tubes on the net or why not try making your own?
Its
easy to do and you will find our tut on '
Make your own Glitter' here
(This
tutorial uses a 3 frame glitter, if your glitter has more than 3 frames you
have to duplicate your frames accordingly**)
A font of your
choice, use a chunky one [Ive used 'Sixties' for
this tutorial]
There are many free fonts on the net,
download and save to a folder on your pc, or you can use one which you
will already find available in your PSP prog when you come to use the 'Text'
tool.
*
First, find your font file, open it and
leave it onscreen or reduce it to your taskbar at the bottom. While you keep
the file open it will appear in your list of fonts in PSP when you
use the 'Text' tool.
Open your PSP, and go to 'File' 'New' and
open a new image 400 x 300 transparent.

Open Animation Shop.
Go to 'File' Browse' and locate your
glitter. Double click on it to open it. This particular glitter has 3
frames

With the first frame selected [surrounded
in blue] go to 'Edit' 'Copy'...
.....go over to PSP and click on
'Edit' 'Paste as New Image'
The first frame of the glitter will appear

your 'Layer' palette.]
Click on the 'Text' tool
.
On the 'Tools Options' palette click the
little down arrow next to font and select your chosen font from the drop
down menu

Set the size, Ive used 72, and set the
'Stroke Width' to 1.0. and 'Create as:' Floating
Set the 'Line Style' to
+Solid [Your toolbar might look slightly different to this, Ive
rearranged mine so as to fit it into the screenshot]

black dot....and click on the colour which appears in the box to open the
'Material Properties' Style colour section.

of your letters and 'OK' it

any colour as its going to be covered with the glitter.

Click on your blank image and the 'Text
Entry' box will open. Type in your text and click 'Apply'
Your text will appear on your image with
'Marching Ants' round it.

As the glitter used for this
tutorial is a 3 frame glitter we have to duplicate our 'Raster Layer'

each of the glitter fames **

duplicate accordingly] So...in the 'Layer' palette, right click on 'Raster1'

box to open the 'Material Properties' 'Style'box, pattern section.
Click on the pattern showing there to open
the menu. There you will see your 3 glitter frames, click on the first of
the 3 to select it....and 'OK' it

The first frame of your glitter will
now be showing in your 'Materials' palette

In your 'Layer' palette, 'X' out the
last 2 'Raster' layers by clicking on the eye at the end of each row.
Click on 'Raster 1' to highlight it

Select the 'Magic Wand' tool

and make sure the 'Mode' is set to 'Add(Shift)'.
This enables you to keep each selection selected as you go along

Click inside each of your letters so there
are 'Marching Ants' inside each one. You may have to click more than once in
some particular letters to select all the areas, it just depends on the type
of font you are using.

and left click inside each letter to floodfill with the first of the
glitters.

again
, click inside each letter to floodfill with the 3rd of your glitters.
